Dr. S. Senthil Kumaran, PhD

 

 

 BIOGRAPHY

 

Dr. S. Senthil Kumaran is currently a Post-doctoral researcher working with Prof. Kaun-Pin Su, at Mind-Body Interface Laboratory (MBI-Lab), Taichung, Taiwan. He received his Ph.D., from Bharathiar University, India, and his Ph.D., work focused on “Aquatic Toxicology.” His Ph.D., work was undertaken in State Key Laboratory of Environmental Aquatic Chemistry (SKLEAC), Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, CAS, China. After his Ph.D., he was awarded prestigious VATAT – Council of Higher Education, Post-Doctoral Researcher Fellowship from Israel for a period of three years. He worked with Dr. Amiram Ariel during his post-doctoral tenure at Israel focusing his research on “Immunology – Resolution of Inflammation.” Dr. Senthil aims to take up a challenging research career in the field of Neuroscience with a special focus on circadian rhythm and neurodegenerative diseases, and wish to work as a key player in a challenging and creative environment. At present, his research focuses on deciphering mechanism underlying the relationship between circadian disruption and glymphatic system dysfunction in depressive disorders.
